The experienced defender returned to his native North East to sign for Moors during the summer following his release from League One outfit Port Vale.
A product of Hartlepool United’s Academy, Jones signed professional terms at Victoria Park in 2013 and went on to make 41 appearances in all competitions.
A versatile defender who can play at centre-back as well as left-back, he has extensive EFL experience having represented Grimsby Town, Barrow and Salford City.
