Jamie Chandler was appointed as the Club’s new First Team Manager in May 2023 after spending the majority of the 2022/23 campaign as Assistant Manager to Jason Ainsley.
During his playing days, midfielder Chandler was known for his all-action style, his leadership on and off the pitch, and for wearing his heart on his sleeve every time he represented the Club.
It was in October 2022 when he was drafted on to Moors’ coaching staff alongside Ainsley and he played a key role as the Club came agonizingly close to snatching a play-off place on the final day.
Having come through the ranks at Sunderland and being capped at youth level by England, Chandler went on to star for Gateshead where he made 168 appearances and scored 20 goals.
In the summer of 2016 he joined Moors, forming a fearsome partnership with Shane Henry in Town’s engine room during his first season as he played a key role in the Club’s promotion push.
A UEFA A Licence qualified coach, Chandler has always been keen to advance on that front and has earned the opportunity to take the top job at The Brewery Field.
