No-nonsense defender Julia McGovern is a relative newcomer to football having only been playing four years, but she played her part in Moors Ladies’ promotion in 2022/23.

A tough-tackling centre-back who gives her all for the team every time she’s on the pitch, McGovern has developed into a really dependable member of the squad.
