Former Sunderland centre-back Michael Ledger put pen to paper on a deal with Spennymoor Town in August 2022 following a successful trial.
The defender came right through the ranks at The Stadium of Light where he was on the books from the age of just 7 and went on to win a professional contract after captaining the club’s Under-18s.
Consett-born Ledger gained further senior experience on loan at Viking in Norway and with Hartlepool United before moving permanently to Norwegian outfit Notodden UK in 2018.
He returned to the UK at the start of 2020 and became a regular for Greenock Morton in the Scottish Championship before his move to Moors.
Ledger produced some of his best form during the second half of the 2022/23 campaign and his performances ensured that he was offered a new contract in the summer.
