Aside from the football on the pitch, there are so many more reasons to spend the Saturday before Christmas at The Brewery Field. Here are five of them…
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! December is all about food, drink, celebration and FOOTBALL! The Brewery Field will be bringing all those elements to the table on Saturday with a number of festive treats.
From black and white Santa hats to a visit from the big man himself, there is so much for all the family to enjoy. The Neil Adams Sports Bar will be full of festive cheer with mulled wine and mince pies available.
Cast your minds back to Saturday 9th November. Moors played hosts to Southport at The Brewery Field on Armed Forces Day. A tense and cagey game followed, with a moment of magic from Glen Taylor making the difference on the day. Moors ran out 1-0 winners and followed that up with a 2-1 win over Boston three days later.
That’s the last time The Brewery Field has hosted National League North football, with a trip to Telford and two separate visits to Leamington since. There has been a friendly with Sunderland Under 23s and a Durham Challenge Cup clash with Sunderland RCA, but nothing beats Saturday afternoon football. The wait is almost over!
If you are the type of person to leave your Christmas shopping to the last minute, then why not make the most of our offers and stock at The Brewery Field on Saturday and grab a bargain.
We will everything from replica home and away kits, four ranges of casual wear and merchandise. Our official bobble hats and scarfs are selling fast with the cold weather gripping the region, so make sure to pick one up and stay warm!
The festive period is famous for the non stop nature of football, and Saturday is no different. The action kicks off in The Moors Tavern with Everton taking on Arsenal in the Premier League at 12.30pm. That’s LIVE on BT Sport!
Next up is the main event as Moors take on Bradford (Park Avenue) at The Brewery Field.
Once the action is over on the pitch, it’s time to head to The Neil Adams Sports Bar to watch a mouthwatering game. Manchester City, currently third, take on second place Leicester City.
Spennymoor Town band will be providing the festive soundtrack at the game on Saturday, with traditional classics and carol singing providing an extra dose of Christmas cheer.
Spennymoor Town is advancing its strategy to create more links with businesses and the community.
