Half-Term Holiday Camp A Huge Success

Moors in the Community once again delivered a successful and hugely enjoyable Holiday Camp for dozens of local children during the half-term break.

The latest event, which was for youngsters between the ages of 5 and 12, took place over Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday of last week at Spennymoor Youth & Community Centre.

A range of indoor sports and games were laid on for those who attended, as well as some arts ^ crafts to keep them entertained throughout the four-hour sessions.

“Everyone who came seemed to have a great time and we’ve had some really positive feedback,” explained Moors in the Community coach, Matthew Arnell.

“We mixed it up in terms of the activities we did to make sure the children were engaged the whole time, and it was really pleasing to see how enthusiastic they were towards everything.

“I would like to thank our friends at Esh Construction and County Durham Community Foundation for their support in ensuring we could host another successful event.

“Our Holiday Camps have always proved very popular and we’re already looking ahead to the next one and putting in the planning to make sure it’s even better!”
