We turn the spotlight on Tuesday night’s action with a comprehensive preview of Scunthorpe United’s National League North visit to The Brewery Field.
Spennymoor Town v Scunthorpe United
National League North
Tuesday 5th November 2024, 7.45pm
The Brewery Field
The Opposition
Scunthorpe United are leading the way in National League North ahead of their visit to face Moors at The Brewery Field on Tuesday evening.
The Iron stayed top of the pile on goal difference from Chorley despite being held to a goalless draw on home soil against Radcliffe over the weekend.
Having finished as runners-up last term before suffering heartbreak in the play-offs, Scunthorpe got out of the traps quickly at the start of 2024/25 and won six of their first seven games.
However, just two victories in their last eight outings in the league have allowed promotion rivals to gain ground on Andy Butler’s title favourites in recent weeks.
Previous Meeting
Moors enjoyed a memorable 1-0 win over Scunthorpe United when the sides met at The Brewery Field back in March.
During a hard-fought encounter, Graeme Lee’s men clinched all three points thanks to Corey McKeown’s brilliant finish just before the hour mark.
Match Officials
Mark Bell will take charge of Tuesday evening’s game at The Brewery Field, and he will be assisted by Declan O’Regan and Abdul Hakimy. Thomas James is our Fourth Official.
